This kinda sounds like a loser, but I guess we’ll wait and see:
You knew that Jim Carrey and Steve Carrell wouldn’t be the only name actors populating the new CGI-ified Who-ville. Now we know the identities of more of the folks who will be hiding behind pixels when Horton Hears A Who hits next year.
Will Arnett is our obvious fave among the newcomers, but luminaries and burnouts as diverse as the following will be on board: Carol Burnett, Seth Rogen, Jaime Pressley, Amy Pohler, Isla Fisher, Dan Fogler, Dane Cook, and Jonah Hill.
There really hasn’t been a good remake of any Dr. Seuss book; Cat in the Hat was so bad I had to turn it off halfway through.
Shoot! I missed this. I’m trying to find it on YouTube, but so far no luck:
Pregnant actress Jaime Pressley appeared on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno last Wednesday the 21st. She’s expecting her son Dezi James in early May (but we hear she’s actually due in April)! Some highlights from the interview:
Jaime sleeps with four or five pillows because she’s so uncomfortable.
Her baby shower is coming up, and it’s co-ed. They’re serving Cuban food for her fiance’s heritage, Southern food for hers, and lots of drinks - except for her, she said!
Jaime spoke about the cast of her show, My Name is Earl, finding out about her pregnancy very early on because she was, as she put it, so bitchy! They figured out what was going when they noticed her sudden food cravings.
Jay gave Jaime lots of ‘white trash’ baby gifts geared towards her character, Joy. Jaime seemed to get a real kick out of them - even the ‘astronaut diapers,’ a play on the news story for a few weeks ago!
I think I’m feeling this - not sure, but I think it’ll work:
My Name is Earl star Jason Lee will star as David Seville in Fox’s upcoming movie Alvin and the Chipmunks. In the 1950s cartoon series, David played a sort of father figure to the three chipmunks (Alvin, Simon, and Theodore), whose constant shenanigans as part of a singing group constantly tested his patience. The movie script was written by Jon Vitti and will be directed by Tim Hill, who also co-wrote and directed Fox’s Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties and directed Disney’s Max Keeble’s Big Move and Sony’s Muppets From Space. Hill also created some 20 different shows for Nickelodeon and was head writer on SpongeBob SquarePants: The Movie. Production on Chipmunks is scheduled to begin March 28, and the movie has a projected Dec. 14 release date.
